Microsoft might have abandoned Skype, but here at nDash, we’ll never — never! — stop adding features and enhancements to our content creation platform. Here’s what we launched this past month.
Change ownership of assignment
The typical content workflow usually involves several people (but hopefully not too many). Now, instead of having just one owner of an nDash assignment throughout, users can transfer ownership to someone else on their team for edits, final revisions, social scheduling, or some other content-related task.
Reminder: nDash doesn’t charge any additional fee per user, so feel free to add as many teammates as you’d like.
Users now also have the ability to filter assignments based on ownership:
We’ve got several other workflow enhancements planned for future releases. But we hope this feature will get others on your team more involved!
nDash writer profiles searchable for all brands
Last year, due to a flood of spam and bots, we restricted community access to brands without an active nDash subscription. With that now under control, any brand user can now browse our freelance writing community (you’ll still need to upgrade to send them assignments however).
New URLs for public writer profiles
As a precursor to several BIG profile enhancements, we’ve restructured the URL paths for public writer profiles to “hire/firstname_lastname”.
A few notes for writers:
- If you have a link to your old public profile for referrals, it’ll now re-direct to your new one. Your past and future referral credits will be unaffected. We do however encourage you to update those links where you can.
- Verified writers will have their URLs crawled for search engines, giving you greater inbound leads for writing clients.
Later this quarter, we’ll launch an entirely new look and feel for writer profiles and portfolios. So stay tuned for more on that!
Low balance warning for pre-funded customers
nDash customers paying freelance writers via a pre-funded budget will now get email alerts when their balance drops below a certain level. This feature follows an earlier enhancement to pre-funding directly through Stripe.
Smaller things:
- Added redirect to public writer profiles when internal links are shared with non-nDash users
- Filter activity thread by type (assignment, chat, idea request)
- Sort assignments by writer name
- UX bugs and UI cleanup on all search pages
- Removing hyperlinks from writer’s “About Me” modal to address security and spam concerns
- Improvements to Sign In screen (labels & autocomplete)
- Changed icon to paperclip on attach files in the assignment creator
- Mouseover animation to left nav to improve UI
- Auto-Scroll to Bottom of Message Thread
- Updated to the latest version of FontAwesome
- Fixed Kanban bug when dragging cards between columns
- Adding the ability to clone draft assignments
