What’s it take to become a six-figure freelance writer? Great writing skills, of course, but also organization. If you’re working with multiple clients and have numerous projects in the works at all times, it’s critical that things don’t fall through the cracks.
But what’s the best way to keep yourself (and your projects) organized? What’s the organizing principle? Is it organized by client, due date, or project status?
The answer is different for everyone. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce the launch of a Kanban board in the nDash writer platform.
Kanban Board Highlights
- Organize your content assignments however you want
- Easily create new lists; drag-and-drop cards
- Cards are generated for every assignment you’ve ever completed
Let’s take a closer look.
Use it for Organization
Rather than forcing writers to use the default assignment view (which is updated based on recent activity), we thought it would be better to give them a wider range of options. The Kanban lets writers organize assignments however they see fit, whether that be by the client, due date, status, or other criteria.
This is accomplished by creating lists.
And the adding cards where appropriate.
Note that cards are only generated for new assignments and content articles (we’ll soon give the ability to create “tasks” that are not specific to assignments).
By clicking on the card, you’ll be brought to the assignment thread where you can update content, message clients, and submit your work for approval & payment.
